Privacy Policy
Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how DvHUD handles data. DvHUD is published by Davy Chhouk and provides a GPS speedometer with a heads-up display mode.
Data DvHUD Accesses
DvHUD requests foreground location permission so it can read your device's current GPS speed while the app is open. Depending on your device settings, this may involve precise or approximate location access. DvHUD uses that reading only to display your current speed. Location data and speed readings are processed on your device and are not sent to us.
Stored Preferences
DvHUD stores your unit preference and HUD mirror preference on your device. These settings stay in local app storage and are not sent to us.
Data DvHUD Does Not Collect
DvHUD does not require an account and does not collect your name, email address, contacts, photos, payment information, advertising identifiers, crash analytics, or usage analytics.
How Data Is Used
Location access is used for app functionality: showing your current speed. Local preferences are used to remember how you want the display to appear.
Data Sharing
DvHUD does not sell personal data, share personal data with advertisers or data brokers, use third-party analytics, show ads, or track you across apps and websites.
Security
DvHUD limits data handling by processing location and speed on your device. Local preferences are stored using the device's normal app storage.
Retention and Deletion
DvHUD does not retain location history or speed history. Local preferences remain on your device until you change them, clear the app's data, or uninstall the app.
Children
DvHUD is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
If DvHUD's data practices change, this Privacy Policy will be updated and the effective date will be changed.
